The Next President's Lecture...

I can think of no better way to spend a cold winter evening, than to get comfortable and join a JHSE Lecture. So I hope many of you will do just so tomorrow, Thursday 15 December 2022, at 8pm.

The speaker is Dr Emily Rose, currently a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies at Oxford. Emily will present her research on the events that occurred in Lincoln in 1255, when a boy went missing, and the local Jews were accused of his murder. The affair involved the king, royal officials and religious leaders, as well as Lincoln townspeople, and it ended with the execution of nineteenth people:

What caused such violence? Emily Rose will explain.

It would be good to see you at this, the last meting of 2022.

Best wishes, Miri Rubin
