About the event

Martin Buber was a major figure of the 20th century in such areas as philosophy, psychology and education. He is considered a sage by some people but always wanted to be thought of as a thinker from faith. This talk will cover the influence of Buber's Jewish heritage on his thinking, his approach to Zionism, education, philosophy of dialogue and Christianity.

Our speaker, Penny Roberts, was born and has lived most of her life in Liverpool. In the early 1970s, she trained as a teacher, her main subject being Philosophy and Comparative Religions. Her special study was on Martin Buber.
