30 Nov 2025, 11:00 – 13:00

London, City of London, London, UK

About the event

Jewish people first arrived in London in 1068, at the invitation of William the Conqueror. On this walking tour, led by certified guide Sam Jacobs, we'll explore the hidden heritage of the Jewish community in the City of London, from the original Jewish quarter in the heart of the Square Mile right up to the present day. This walk is in partnership with The Jewish Square Mile , a project to reveal and celebrate the history of the Jewish Cemetery and the Jewish people who lived in medieval London.

On the walk we will visit St Paul's Cathedral, Newgate prison, Guildhall, site of the medieval Mikva, area of the medieval Ghetto, Mansion House, Rothschild, Bevis Marks.

We will meet at the City of London Visitor Centre, St Paul's Churchyard from 10.45am and will finish the walk at Bevis Marks. We will then go on to a cafe/pub to get drinks/lunch…
