The oldest historical and learned society of its kind in Europe, founded in 1893. The Society, based in London, has active branches in a number of centres and meets regularly with lectures on a wide range of subjects relating to Anglo-Jewish history, and publishes its biennial transactions known as Jewish Historical Studies.

The Society will be hosting a conference at University College London on 28 August 2013 to celebrate and commemorate its 120th anniversary. The full programme can be found HERE [2]. The conference will be free and open to the public.
